    Default Divide lines below line

Is there any way how to divide lines by selected line (AI10)? It works fine with rectangles and so on, but not with lines. I'd like to trim part of grid, but I found there's no easy way to do it (I am newbie)

Select all end points, then move them over with the direct select tool.
