DmFade Issue -- DMTools Issue - Macromedia Director Basics

I've sent several e-mails to DMTools with no response. I purchased DmFade Xtra last week and am having an issue with Dir MX (not 2004) on the Windows platform. Works great in authoring, but not run-time. I have my script in a movie script at the beginning, frame #2. One thing I noticed is that 'DmFadeReg' is in black type in the script window. I know that to see black type is normally a no-go with lingo, but I don't get any errors... on PrepareMovie DmFadeReg("12345") End Regards, Dave...

Default DmFade Issue -- DMTools Issue

I've sent several e-mails to DMTools with no response. I purchased
DmFade Xtra last week and am having an issue with Dir MX (not 2004) on
the Windows platform. Works great in authoring, but not run-time. I have
my script in a movie script at the beginning, frame #2.

One thing I noticed is that 'DmFadeReg' is in black type in the script
window. I know that to see black type is normally a no-go with lingo,
but I don't get any errors...

    on PrepareMovie
    DmFadeReg("12345")
    End

    Hi Dave,

That prepareMovie function needs to be in a movie script window, not a
    behavior.

    Hi Rob,

I do have it in a movie script in frame #2. I'm not understanding what a
    movie script is, I guess.

A movie script isn't on the score at all. It just sits in the cast.
Go to the property inspector for that member and under the script tab,
change it to a movie script.

A movie script is a script member that is not attached to any sprites,
only appearing in the cast, a script member type may be set with
    inspector.
