DMO and SQL Jobs - Microsoft SQL / MS SQL Server

I would assume you were referring to msdb.sysjobs.job_id. You can check it with BOL, it's an uniqueidentifier column. Job.JobID on the other hand is a string representation of that data, but it's essentialy the same thing, besides formatting. How exactly are you trying to link those two values? looks like a bug to me

SQLDMO is issuing a exec msdb..sp_help_job command to the server
in my case I had two jobs on that server (this is what sp_help_job returned)

    A65D21CE-4BD8-4F0A-9B84-2154EE42B65A
    0A25A810-40C0-4788-8F3C-63C73DA1F7F6

and this is what a small VB test app listed

    CE215DA6D84B0A4F9B842154EE42B65A
    10A8250AC04088478F3C63C73DA1F7F6

if you pay close attention to the last two lines it looks like SQLDMO is
reverting the first four parts of the GUIDs. (if this helps in any way)

I'll have this problem further investigated.

    Thx for your feedback
