Default Document margins show when printing

I am new on InDesign 2.0 so this may sound like it- my document is 11 x 8.5. I have placed a Photoshop graphic into the entire page. The problem I am having is when I print it out, there is a white margin surrounding the entire document- what am I doing incorrectly? (I actually need to add some bleed to make sure the entire graphic prints outside the defined size of the document.) Any suggestions? Thanks.

It is an HPpsc 1210xi (cheap for my home office) - but I took the file to Kinkos yesterday and had a print out made to see if I was in fact downlading the file correctly, and the white border is there too.

    I don't think that's a borderless printer. You'll have to print to
    larger paper and cut it.

Sorry to sound so dense- I just measured the actual area on the printout and the image measures 10.5 x 7 7/8" instead of 11 x 8.5 - so even though InDesign is telling me that my document is in fact 11 x 8.5, the printer is not printing it at 100% - correct?
Thanks for your patience and help!

I don't know. Depends on your print output settings. You can scale it to
fit on the paper or you can just let it get cut off.
