Default Document presets help in InDesign

Just installed CS (not CS2) on a new Mac Pro. In InDesign, my "letter" page size comes up as 8.5001 x 11, and margins are all .5001. When i try to change them to 8.5 it immediately goes back to 8.5001. Tried editing presets and changing once document is created and it just keeps going back. Basically anything that is .5" it adds a 001 to. Photoshop and Illustrator don't have these problems. Help is greatly appreciated. Keith

This a problem with Rosetta running on intel macs. It has to do with how the app handles calculations. Check out <http://www.macfixit.com/> for more information.

Thanks. Checked out the link. Does not sound like a very good option. I am a creative director and need to have files set up appropriately for printers. Any other ideas?

Keith its not a problem. .0001 is not going to move the trim mark that far out. The fellow trimming the job will most likely vary more than that.

as stated its a Rosetta thing and Apple is working on a fix with 10.4.8

I understand it is a VERY small amount - more of a mental pain than anythig. Just annoying. Thanks.

As annoying as it is, it's cosmetic. Anyone running either Windows or a
non Intel Mac will still see the correct measurements.
