Documents won't paginate correctly in book
I'm running InDesign CS 3.0.1 on Windows XP Professional. When I add new documents to a book, the page numbers don't paginate correctly. For example, chapter 1 paginates as 1-6, chapter 2 paginates as 1-9, chapter 3 paginates as 1-28, etc. I checked the settings in the documents themselves and they are all set to paginate automatically, and I checked the book pagination settings and it is also set to automatic pagination. I have tried selecting all of them and clicking Repaginate, and nothing changes. Other people in my department who are running Windows 2000 don't have any trouble with the exact same files, so it might be an XP issue? Any suggestions or ideas? Thank you so much!

Re: Documents won't paginate correctly in book
Check your InDesign preferences and under General, see if page numbering is set to absolute. If so, make the other choice.

Re: Documents won't paginate correctly in book
Thanks a lot, Mike. That seemed to work. Is there any way to set it so that I can have it as absolute numbering? Or do I need to leave it as section numbering in order to get pagination to work properly?
Thanks again!
