dodecahedron help - Macromedia Director 3D

I'm trying to create a dodecahedron and apply different images to each face of the object. Can you even create a dodecahedron? and can you actually set different images for each face? Any help would be greatly appreciated. ..eugene....

You're doing it using lingo? Then you better to a google search on how to build such object in 3D. You'll prolly find C++ code, but it's not THAT hard to convert it or understand the concepts.

If u have access to a 3D modelling app, like max or any other app that
supports export to the .w3d extension, then you can create your shape there
and import it in. The file size will obviously be larger than any movie
that creates 3D from lingo at run time, but typically your looking at about
1-12k depending on how complex your model is and how you apply UVW mapping
    coordinates.

To create textures on different faces using the above method: one option is
when you have created your 3D shape, edit mesh, and making sure the face sub
option is selected, detach each face and apply mapping coordinates to each
face. You could texture it in your modelling app too, but i perfer applying
textures with lingo. You will still need to make sure you apply mapping
coordinates to each detached face before exporting though.
