Does anyone have an answer??
Please Help!! I've been Using Dreamweaver MX for awhile, but I'm still just
doing the tip of the iceberg kinda stuff. I can't seem to figure out what
happened to the Hyperlink Dialog Box. It won't appear. When I get to my
insertion point and use either the Insert>Hyperlink from the top-line menu or
the Command Tab>Hyperlink icon, all that appears is this: # (underlined). I
then have to right mouse click and type in my link, but I don't have the option
of opening the new link in a new window. Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong,
and why the box won't appear? I've checked every setting in Preferences that I
know and I can't figure it out. Thanks.

Re: Does anyone have an answer??
Is this such a problem? Why not use the link field of the Property
inspector?

Re: Does anyone have an answer??
Best way to create a link is to type the text on the page that will become the
link, select the text and enter the link URL in the 'Link' box in the
properties inspector at the bottom of the page. You should also have a drop
down menu underneath the 'Link' box called 'Target' where you can select
'_blank' which will allow your link to open a brand new browser window. If you
cannot see the 'Target' drop down box you may need to open out the properties
inspector fully, click on the small arrow located at the bottom right of the
properties inspector to do this.
