does AppleWorks CD contain both Win/Mac versions? - FileMaker

I need to get AppleWorks for Windows. Does the v.6 CD come with both a Mac and Windows version on it? I distinctly recall that my FMP 4.0 CD had both a Mac version and a Windows version. My v.5 and v.6 FMP for Windows CD's might also install on a Mac, but I never tried it. Hopefully both versions are on the AppleWorks CD. Many thanks for the info, Mark Bowron...

Are you sure? Mine did (does, I suppose, if I dig it up), but the disc was
hybrid and you could only see the alternate folder on the other machine.

Mind you, that might be a 4.1, not a 4.0.

The box was clearly labelled FM for Windows, and so was the manual, but the disc
    had both.

My FMP 6 has both versions and licence allows installation of both
simultaneously. FMP makes play of being cross platform and you have to
have both installed to check solutions.

I upgraded from 3 to 6 while that was still possible and found to my
horror [because I had bought an iBook on strength of being able to use
my FMP on it] that my version 3 registration number worked only for
Windows! However, I filled some forms on FM site and was emailed Reg
    Number for Mac.

I have wanted to buy the Windows version but it seems only to be
available for education customers and here in UK not available at all.

If you buy AppleWorks for education in the U.S. then you get windows and
Mac versions on the CD. Not sure if you buy the retail version in the
    shops.

For some reason Apple do not sell AppleWorks for windows outside the U.S.
which causes a lot of problems for education institutions here in the
    U.K.....
