Does splitting of the DB increase processing speed?
There's a SQL database, that Coldfusion works with. It's a one-file database
size of 1,5GB. DB consists of a lot of tables, which form three groups. Would
everything work faster if i split the DB into three separate databases, files
that is? Because, like i said, there are three groups of tables, which do three
different jobs.

Re: Does splitting of the DB increase processing speed?
It would make no difference if the db was split into 3 db's
Example
If there are 1000 tables, and a query did a select one one table
Campared to
If there are 10 tables, and a query did a select one one table
If both queries are the same then the query time would be the same.
