Double-click url sometimes brings up IE, sometimes Safari?
I still don't like Safari that much, but I guess it is the future so I
might as well get used to it... :-(
I've changed my system preferences to show Safari as my default browser.
Now, sometimes when I click on a url, it goes to Safari (such as, from
Watson), and sometimes it still launches IE (such as, from Eudora Pro).
I cannot delete IE from my system, since there are still several sites
that refuse to work with Safari. How can I make it so that
double-clicking a url will reliably take me to Safari though?
Oh yes, double clicking a secure url (https://) takes me to Navigator?
How can I change that? (I need Navigator around for testing, when I
design web sites, but otherwise never use it)

set it. The problem is that not all applications seem to use the system
preferences?
At least that is the only way I can see this problem occuring.

say for sure whether it will help or not, but it's not like it'll cost
you anything to try. At the least, you'll find out what won't work. If
it doesn't work, then it would seem to me the problem is application-
specific and you'll need to address the problem directly with each rogue
program, as Mr. Rosenberg suggested for Eudora.

Eudora uses its own setting -- option double-click the URL and you can
navigate to the URL helper application of choice.
