Hi all,

I am new to InDesign and I am working on a project using InDesign CS (PC) where the end product is a set of laminated cards (luggage size) which are arranged 10 to a page using a double page spread. Each finished card will have different information on each side. I want to be able to do double sided printing so that each card has the required information on each side.

Now I can get this to work *reasonably well* on either a duplex laser printer or on a standard hp officejet (by turning the paper over at the appropriate time). Now my problem is that it only works reasonably well. The front-back alignment is always off by up to 5 mm. For this current project the alignment needs to be nearly perfect. One way I have found to fix this is to cut off a small amount from the edge of the paper before I feed it in again, but this is of course a pointless solution when I need to do 100 sheets or more.

I have tried printing directly from InDesign or from a PDF. The margins are set up correctly (to the best of my knowledge) and the PDF file is centred correctly on screen.

Any ideas? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,
Beinn....
