That is sad. Adobe could sell many more copies of Acrobat if they did so. Still part of that old attitude, that a Mac is just a play toy, a platform to piddle with; instead of platform to get "real work" done - by the corporate higher ups.

Not really a problem these days. Get an Intel and run the Windows version. :)

Yes that just feeds the above comment I made. By making Intel Macs capable of running Windoze, it marginalizing the Mac OS even more. I don't see anything humorous at all about it. :-(

I see it quite differently. Some people will buy Macs simply because they can run both OS's on them, and, run Unix as well. Maybe they won't do this right away, but possibly over time. I've seen Windows running on plenty of Macs now and its the best Windows machine I've seen. When these folks who have purchased a Mac to run Windows start using the Mac OS that came with it, they'll see the benefits. Unless of course they have a closed mind about the OS. Some people are just like that. Even some Mac folks profess to hate Windows and claim they will never use it.

I haven't puchased a Mac for myself in 8 years, but I personally will probably buy a Mac next time around, just because of what I mentioned above. I get everything with a Mac.

I see it as a potential market grabber by Apple. The cup is half full. :)

Nor do I. I see it as a great accomplishment that, like sws says, will increase the popularity of the Mac OS. Also, Adobe is far away from being the only software company that marginalizes the Mac OS.

For instance, years ago in a different life, I had to buy a Winbox so I could run AutoCad...

I may seem closed minded so far as windows goes. But my closed mindedness is due to several factors.

1) I worked as a Service Technician for a school system (retired due to physical disability for that system). I worked with Mac's and PC, and even Apple II's TI-88, Comadore64/128 you name it. I spent more time resoring sytem on PC's where some little kid figured out how to delet certain files in the system and render the whole drive useless.

Heck anyone could accidently type the wrong command and poof!! the Drive is completely wiped clean.

2. On the Mac system, you have to knowingly want to erase a Mac Hard Drive because you have to put in the System Disk (OS7 and before) or System CD and boot from the CD Then and only then can you do so. OSX comes closer to the Windows stupidity if you stuble into terminal and type in the right command.

3 on PC there is probably 500 billion worms, Trogans', Worms, Viruses. With probably 10 thousand added every day. In addition there is Adware, Spyware, and Malware abound.

4 Since the time of the Fat mac there has been a Grand Total of about 100 such items and no working addware, spyware for now. There have been a few proof of Concept items for OSX.

To me I see it asa nail in the Coffin of the only system other than UNIX, Linux that is relatively safe. And Windows is far more complex than it needs to be. Read all the news groups where you have to manually add or delete a ini or dlll file in a PC.

Is there a way to change pdf file names directly in Acrobat Organizer--without doing it in finder and not having to open the file. Thanks for the help.

Philip,

You cannot in Organizer, but if you have Adobe Bridge, then you can do
it there. Bridge comes with the CS Suite. It is Organizer on steriods.
