Download if needed
Using Director MX 2004, if I check the "Download if needed" checkbox on the
QT6Asset.x32 xtra "Move Xtras", I just get an error message from Director
URL not found. "http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave10/...
The "Info..." button takes you to macromedia.com, but to a "page not found"
screen
Is this known to be broken

Re: Download if needed
Hi,
Shockwave player for Director MX 2004 is currently under public beta
testing. This means that the links in the xtrainfo may still be broken. If
you wish to test this, you can download the beta version here:

Re: Download if needed
Thanks for the info
Does this occur for every Director MX 2004 installation? It's not unique to
me? Did I miss this in some release notes somewhere? If this is a known issue
by Macromedia, shouldn't it be part of the installed release notes or available
online? Please point me to the source, because I did some looking and didn't
find anything that said it doesn't work
I also think it's a little strange that the authoring environment would be
released without even mentioning that the corresponding Shockwave support is
not released
If you buy Director MX 2004 and had planned on using MX 2004 features,
currently you can *only* produce projectors. To make content available
for the web, you will have to wait until the Shockwave player is out of beta.
Please correct me if I have mis-stated something
