I'm downloading linux from /dists/stable/main/disks-x and will be running it on a Pentium 4. What do I select for my computer architecture from the available list to use as a substitute for x? thanks len net (510)532-9094...

    distro is most likely debian, going from the directory structure.
     

    Well, if you dont know, then you should say the first existing of the
    following

    i686,
    i586,
    i486,
    i386

    Sounds like Debian to me, and Debian does not offer official i586 or
    i686 images as far as I know.

    I kind of figured it might have been Debian but it wasn't
    mentioned along with not mentioning what any of the options were.
