Re: dpi: viewing actual for images
trinityc, in AI9 the document info window is under File/Document info.
Select your image. Pull out the fly out menue (that's the arrow on the right side) and go to embedded, if it is embedded or go to link, if it is linked.

dpi: viewing actual for images
Having exactly the same problem, the images seem very high resolution but when I bounce the images down to a file the printing company is telling me they are 120dpi however in illustrator they are full scale full size pictures. I totally see trinityc's frustration with what he's asking as you guys aren't really fixing the problem just kind talking about how to see the problem. lol
There's some sort of problem with illustrator reducing resolution of the saved files and there's obviously some setting that is compressing the images to low res..
I'll look elsewhere for the answer also in case I get a barrage of how wrong we are.
Did you manage to fix it trinity as I'd like to know what the hell is going on in illustrator to keep reducing embedded image size!
ThanksLee Guest

Go to File, Print and Summary. Will tell you all the details within that I think according to your printer. Mine works.
