I was always able to drag desk top icons to different

Hi Noreen,
If your right click on your desktop and go to 'arrange icons by' does auto
arrange have a tick next to it? If so uncheck that as it might be what is
stopping you dragging desktop icons.

Mark got it. I tried this out. Sure enough, a checkmark by Auto arrange
will allow a drag but releasing the mouse button will cause the icon to snap
back to original location.
