Default Dreameaver Templates Applide to Templates?

    Hello,

I was updating pages using templates today and I found that I had to create
several templates to cover different styles of pages. There were some elements
that were common to all that . Can you (or could I put in a suggestion for the
ability to) update templates from a master template?

    Just a thought.

    Kind regards,

DMX and DMX2004 both have the ability to nest templates, yes. Be aware that
this makes things a bit complex very quickly.

This feature (nested templates) already exists in DWMX and MX2004.

Thank you. I feel a bit silly now. I should have definately known that one. I
am semi self taught in DW . I will give nestled templates a go. I did actually
come up with a work around on having to update mulitple templates. I just need
to give myself a bit more flexibilty with the editable regions. I was
restricting myself by creating only one editable region (which is all I thought
I needed for the body of the text.) I will add another for the addition (or
    ommision) of additional page elements.

I will try nestled templates though. Sounds like it could be fun! ;-)

Thank you all for your comments. Greatly appreciated.

    Kind regards,
    Mame

Nestling is always fun, but nested templates are a beee yotch! The get very
    complicated to troubleshoot very fast.
