Dreamweaver HTML to EMAIL - Macromedia Dynamic HTML

I want to create email layouts in Dreamweaver. I'm totally confused, even after much research into it. Is it true that I can't attach an html email directly into let's say an AOL client to send to a receipient address with links for images, etc, other than typical links (underlining text). Should I somehow put this creation on my server for dispatch and if so, how does that work when I am sending from AOL for example?...

I really wanted to thank you for these links... they were very helpful,
however, please don't laugh at me, but I just don't get how to upload the
Dreamweaver files and images to my website server...

Question: Do I point to my server to find the email html.index file or to the
    HD...
How do I name the files on the server. AOL, of which I use as my email client
said all I need to do is upload my Dreamweaver email file to my server (but
didn't say how to name it... so when I send an email with html file, how does
it work, how does the email find the files (images, etc.) located on the
server). This is the part I couldn't find in your links above... maybe I missed
it, not sure. Since it sounds like you know what your talking about, all I need
is to know is how to name and send the files as an html email. Can you make it
an answer that looks something like this>>>

    1. Create Dreamweaver (Email Folder) on Your Hard Drive
    2. Create DW HTML file and save it to the above named folder on your HD
    3. Include all images in an images folder and place that folder in the above
    named folder
    4. Prepare links to your server on the new HTML file
    5. Upload the entire folder to the server with the above named folder (named
    link?)
    6. From your HD, drag the new HTML file just created on the email content area
    7. Make sure you fill in the TO and SUBJECT areas of the email client before
    sending email

If the above is accurate, please just help me with how to name and link
    everything (that's where I'm lost)
Thanks again for any future help!

Read DW's F1 Help about how to create a site, both Local and Remote. That's
about the best you can do for step by step.
