Dreamweaver MX 2004 + CFMX7 Extension Not Working

I am really in a predicament with Dreamweaver MX 2004 CFMX 7 support. I added
a test site with coldfusion support enabled and then went on to, after enabling
RDS and entering the password, add a database. I hit the plus sign and then
clicked on 'MySQL Connection.' In this connection settings window I entered a
CF Data Source Name (test), Database (one that exists), Server (localhost),
Username (a valid one for that db), and a Password (yes that was correct too),
and just for kicks, a Desc. and made sure the Port had a value (3306). I
thought I'd hit Test and when I do so, absolutely nothing happens. If I hit
OK, it will not depress. I'm at a real standstill. I've tried many different
databases, different connectors, added a new connector for MySQL 4.1, etc. To
no avail. I've gone as far as mv'ing my Application
Support/Macromedia/Dreamweaver MX 2004/Configuration folder so that DWMX 2004
would recreate this folder and remove all old extensions to see if that were
the problem, that did not help either. Does someone have an idea as to what
may be going on here? (I am running on Mac OS X) Thanks much for any and all
