drop down

Hi there, just wondering, is there any way to fix the characters in a drop
down menu in a specific number, for example, I've a drop down with a value with
75 characters and I want to show just 25, is this possible?

to mantain the size of the dropdown in for example 25 chrs.?

Hi
i made a drop down navigation using CSS
([url]http://www.mihummel-licensing.ch/www/de/news.php[/url]). Now we would admin the Site
with Macromedia Contribute. You can surf throug in contribut with working drop
downs, but change to the edit modus, the drop downs are no more available. So
we could no add new sites. Is this realy not possible? Or is there an other way
to solve this kind of problems?
