drop down list and ASP.NET

Hi,
I created an ASP.NET dropdown list and populated the list from an Access
database via
the Dreamweaver data set and ASP dropdown list functions. The list displays
the values
from the table in the Web page but when I select an item, the first item in
the list is always
returned; I can't select any itmes. I changed the code and manually inserted
ASP list
items and then any item I select is returned when I hit my submit button.
How can I get the list to work with data from a table vs. hard coding the list
items? I am
assuming that building the list using the Dreamweaver GUI for both the ASP
drop down list
and data set does all the necessary data binding, etc.

The problem is that the databinding to you list control is happening on post
back as well as page load. If you are using the MM ASP.Net controls then you
need to set the postback. Look for a line

<MM:PageBind runat="server" PostBackBind="true" />

And change it to

<MM:PageBind runat="server" PostBackBind="false" />
