Drop shadow problem in CS
Hi all,
I'm new to the forum and have a problem with drop shadow text where the shadow does not show on a black background, the shadow is yellow. The same text with blk shadow shows on white and yellow backgrounds. I've made sure to pull the text and shadow to the front and the background pushed to the back. Anyone with an idea or is this a bug?
TIA,
Dan

Thanks for the reply Jean-Claude.
I'm set to multipy on both instances, one has the problem one doesn't.
Can you clarify?
thanks,

Re: Drop shadow problem in CS
Go to Adobe illustrator InDepth section at:
http://www.adobe.com/products/illustrator/indepth.html
and download the "Getting Started with Transparency" PDF
This guide provides basic information for anybody who wants to get
started using the transparency features in the Adobe Creative Suite
applications.
and
The "A designer's guide to transparency for print output" PDF
This guide is an educational resource for Adobe Creative Suite users who
create transparency effects when designing for print output.
(But a short answer is that teh Multiply "add" the color value of the
shadow and the underneath object. So yellow + Black, is Black with
Yellow that on screen will still look black...)
