DSNless connection
Has anyone had experience of losing their connection to their database after
changing the site domain?
All my existing tables link to the access database via the original Connection
asp. The site itself is working fine. The connection always returns
"successful connection" when tested. But when trying to create a dataset is
says "**table not found"
Parked and deleted old domain and added new domain at 08:30 the enabled asp.
Any help would be appreciated.

Re: DSNless connection
Following the avalanche of hints and tips I am pleased to report that there is
a problem with Dreamweaver MX and MX2004 when connecting to Access databases
running on Windows Server 2003 SP1. Whilst it is covered in the knowledge base
I note that others in the forum are having similar difficulties with Sequel
connections and unable to retrieve failures.
There is a "fix" - SP2DBFix1.0.2.mxp - for my problem and I cannot be alone
in experiencing this.
And just in case anyone from Adobe is reading this, you should have written to
all your registered and paid up members informing us of this problem when
WS2003 SP1 was released!

Re: DSNless connection
I've been having this problem as well -- but I could not get the fix to work
for me. I'd been having troubles with db connection to a Brinkster site --
turns out they don't support DW connection strings -- applied the fix, tried the
Brinkster site, it didn't work; THEN I tried to access a db on a working site
on another host but couldn't access THAT much as you experienced. At first I
thought the 'fix' was what killed my previous ability to have DW hook to the db
there... now I wonder if it was the upgrade to DW8 and I just didn't notice the
prob til now (I also do straight db work so I'm not alwayws wearing a web guy
hat).
Anyhow... I'm kinda stumped.
DW MX or 8 connection to that working db doesn't work from either a SP2
machine or an SP1 machine at this point. (And to HECK with Brinkster. I just
need to get back what worked before.)
