DSNLESS CONNECTION for COLDFUSION 4.0

Is there anywy to have a dsnless connection for COLDFUSION 4.0? I have seen a
couple scripts out there but when i try them it errors on me.

I cannot have a dsn connection because my host only uses that on their "more
expensive" customers and they told me to use a dsnless connection.

With ASP this is easy but can someone please point me in the right direction
for COLDFUSION?
