dsnless help for sql
Hi,
I have built a site using sql databases but when I upload the site to the web
server I get an error because my host dose not let me use the sql database from
a different domain than the one hosting the sql.
Here is what I mean,
sql database for creekaudio.com
sql database for epos-acoustics.com
musichallaudio.com needs to use both of the above sql databases.
The host told me that I will have to use a dsnless connection string to ues
the two. I can't seam to find a string that will work with the site I have
made. I'm useing the same file name as before. here are the different typs of
code I have tried:
"PROVIDER=SQLOLEDB;DATA
SOURCE=sql.server;UID=creeksql;PWD=password;DATABA SE=creeksql"
"Driver={SQL Server};
Server=[sql.server];Database=[creeksql];UID=[creeksql];PWD=[password];"
<%
' FileName="Connection_ado_conn_string.htm"
' Type="ADO"
' DesigntimeType="ADO"
' HTTP="true"
' Catalog=""
' Schema=""
Dim MM_creek_STRING
MM_creek_STRING = "PROVIDER=SQLOLEDB;DATA
SOURCE=sql.server;UID=creeksql;PWD=password;DATABA SE=creeksql"
%>
<%
' FileName="Connection_ado_conn_string.htm"
' Type="ADO"
' DesigntimeType="ADO"
' HTTP="true"
' Catalog=""
' Schema=""
Dim MM_creek_STRING
MM_creek_STRING = "Driver={SQL Server};
Server=[sql.server];Database=[creeksql];UID=[creeksql];PWD=[password];"
%>
Can someone shead some light onthis for me as I get this type of error when
using both codes.
ADODB.Recordset error '800a0bb9'
