Default Dumb, dumb, dumb. Macromedia really fumbled the ball here...

An entire afternoon wasted only to discover, like several others
before me apparently, no small amount of clairvoyance is required to
determine the StyleProperties for the neat new components present in
    Flash MX.

As one guy on usenet put it, it's really quite incomprehensible how
something as important as this got missed in the documentation.

    I agree.

The Macromedia 'help' files offer great descriptions of the method,
but what parameters are we to use? For eg., bolding the text in a
    listbox. this.setStyleProperty("something", mysteryvalue); seems so
close, but yet, oh so far.

Surely there must be a listing somewhere? After all, all the
developers out there don't seem to have difficulty.

Could someone assuage my frustrations, renew Macromedias name and
direct me (and countless others I'm sure) to a listing of the
StyleProperties for at least the main components (eg. listbox)?

I would be most appreciative :)

Lookup the FStyleFormat object in the documentation. It's all there.
