Default Duplex & Booklet Printing (Windows)

I am considering using In Design for producing our internal marketing mailshots. We use a high speed colour laser device for printing so I have two requirements.

Can we produce booklets (A3 spreads folded to A4 booklet pages) with the printers duplex feature. If so how? How do we organise page orders to print correctly?

Can we produce different spreads in colour mode and mono mode, ie spread of page 1 and 8 in colour and page 2 and 7 in black and white only?

If we cannot do this with in design could you suggest a different product.

Thanks for your time, Any help and advice would be appreciated.

You can certainly use a script or plugin to impose the document. Search
the forum for booklet. As for your printing requirement, that's really a
function of the printer, so I couldn't say.
