Duplicate Files
We have mutliple users editing our intranet using a local/network connection
with Contribute. When adding links to files such as pdf's or word docs, that
are already sitting in the correct directory on the server, Contribute makes a
duplicate of the file with an _000 append to the filename.
This is causing issues as it is taking up space on the server, and causing
confusion among the users.
We also use Contribute on our internet site over an STFP connection, and
having tested on here it would appear the problem does not occur.
Anyone know of any solutions or encountered a similar problem?
Thanks

Re: Duplicate Files
this is a known issue with Contribute version 3.0 and below. This issue has
been addressed in Contribute 3.1 which is a free update available from http://www.adobe.
com/support/contribute/downloads.html. Updating will resolve your issue.
Note: Do not update to 3.11 as the issue can be replicated in 3.11

Re: Duplicate Files
thanks for that.
Unfortunately our company has now packaged 3.11 and is rolling that out so looks like we are stuck with the issue for the forseeable future.
Cheers
