Duplicate files open anytime I open a file
When I open an Illistratro file, two of the same file opens everytime. I browsed everyone of the subjects suggesting anything with the word duplicate, duplication. I can't beleive this would be the very first time it has been mentioned.
I am on windows 2000 and Illistrator is version 2004 CS

Open file, make changes, save file, close, re-open, file contents not changed

That's not a normal situation in CS and actually I've not see that problem posted before. In any case have you tried the standard "catch all" fix by deleting the AIPrefs file (check FAQ topic for procedure)?

Thank you very much Bob. Call me stupid, but I am unable to find anything in FAQ for Alpref files. Is alpref an abbreviation?

Scratch that last statement, i just found the thread for deleting the Aipref file. I will let you know how it went.
