Default Duplicating and the Dock in Mac OS 10.3.4

Whenever I try to duplicate something in Freehand 10, I use the
"Option-Command-D" found under the Edit menu. That's because if I type it in
manually instead of using the mouse, the Dock comes up from it's little hiding
place. If I set the Dock to stay out, using this command will hide it.
Nothing in System or Dock Preferences will get me out of this problem. Has
Macromedia released a fix for this? Has anyone else experienced this and
solved it? I'd really like to know, as I'm creating a dozen medical forms and
duplicating the lines is getting frustrating.

Default Re: Duplicating and the Dock in Mac OS 10.3.4

You can simply change the keyboard command shortcut in FreeHand... I assign
custom shortcuts for all sorts of functions within FreeHand, as I find it
quicker to use the keyboard rather than mouse around through the menus all of
the time. Look under your Edit menu and take it from there... your dock problem
will vanish. It's too bad that Macromedia didn't properly address this OS X
issue, but it's easily side-stepped via this method. But be warned: once you
start assigning your own shortcuts, you just might find it completely
    addictive.
