DVD writer own't change speeds?
Hey all,
I tried burning to a DL-DVD using "sudo growisofs -speed 1 -dvd-compat
-Z /dev/dvdrw -dvd-video /directory" and also with speed=2.4.
I got the error "Failed to change write speed: 7056->3324"??
I am using an Hp dvd640 lightscribe and TDK media (ID: RICOHJPN/D00).
dvd+rw-mediainfo shows the Current write speed as 5.1x1385=7056KB/s, and
Write speed #0: 2.4x1385=3324KB/s.
Why won't the drive change to 2.4x ??
