DW 04, Contribute and iframes
Hey,
I am the administrator to http://www.caitlin-labradoodles.co.uk/. I made the
site in Dreamweaver MX 04 and my clients use Contribute 3.1 to add and edit
pages.
I want my clients to be able a add links throughout all the pages within the
Additional Links panel. Normally you would just add a link to the main template
and that updates the rest of the site, however Contribute does not allow users
to edit the master template.
So my idea to combat this was to have a 'Links page' load into a iframe. Thus
the user would add a link on the 'links page' and as the template holds the
iframe all pages show the same 'additional links'. However this does not quite
work as when you click the link it loads the linked page within the iframe.
Is there anyway that the link within the iframe can load a page as normal?
I have tried on the actual links, target="_self" target="self"
target="_parent" target="parent" target="_new" target="new", but they all still
load the new page within the iframe?
Or do you have a better idea than mine?
Sorry if this does not make much sense, please see the link above which should
clarify things?
Thanks Grant
