I an developing an ecommerce/kart site at ontheair.org (my remote testing
server)using the impaKT Kart/Shop etc add-ons.
Making the connections on my local box is no problem but if I configure a
remote connection using ontheair/godaddy. This remote connection never works
and I have been told twice that for security reasons godaddy does not support
this type of connection.
I can hard code a connection file, upload it and then swap out the name of
local connection file that works on my tester box for the connection that works
on remote. With simple pages this seems to work, impakt add ons have a control
panel to set up site wide log on, email etc. The final step in this process
requires an upload which crashes because I can not use the remote connection
file.
Is there some work around for this situation?
