DW.MX04 {Training From the Source} Flaw

    Default DW.MX04 {Training From the Source} Flaw

Operating System: WinXP Pro (SP2) (yes with IIS installed)
    Software: StudioMX04 + Office03
    Using the book titled:
"Dreamweaver MX 2004 with asp, coldfusion and php: training from the source"

Lesson 8 gives a Database file to copy to the Shared Folder so Dreamweaver can
make connections to it. But in trying to do so Dreamweaver fails to load
anything; this is because Office03 prevents access to it due to 'some security
flaw' with it meaning I can't continue learning :(

    Any help or workaround solution?

You could always use an Oracle, MS SQL, or MySQL database. You can download
the ODBC drivers for Oracle/MySQL (its automatic with MS SQL) and then assign a
DSN so that you can continue following the book. You'll just need to set up
your tables manually before continuing on. From there, the tutorials use the
most basic SQL syntax so it will work on any of the DBs you choose. Cheers
