    Default dxf conversion

    hello,

I have been using AutoCAD LT to create .dxf files which are then imported into FH MX. However, I have noticed that the size of features changes during conversion. For example, a circle that has a diameter of 60mm in AutoCAD becomes a circle with a diameter of around 170mm when imported into FH MX. Both programs are set to work in millimeters. Does anybody know how to avoid this scaling problem? Or at least what the exact scaling difference is?

    Thanks,

    Default Re: dxf conversion

This happens to me alot when opening .ai format files created by GIS
software. Usually I open them in illustrator first and then copy/paste into
freehand. That seems to retain the correct size. If I dont do this FH scales
it up probably 30%. Not sure why?

If you have access to Illustrator you may want to try that. Once again as
Judy says, Illustrator a good 'ol can opener.
