Dynamic Drop-Down Menu
I am trying to create a page to edit information previously submitted by the
user. I cannot figure out how to pre-select the item that the user selected
when he uploaded information to the database. I am using a Microsoft Access
database. In-other-words, the database contains the selection that the user
uploaded on his previous visit. I need to pre-select an item in a drop-down
menu based on the value in the corresponding database field. How can I do
this? I believe I need to use javascript. I do not do any coding, so if there
is an extension that will do this for me that would be great. If I have to
code...please keep in mind that I do not do any coding...so try to be explicit.
Thanks in advance.

Re: Drop-Down Menu
<option selected>INSERT VARIBLE</option>
<option>Item 1</option>
<option>Item 2</option>
etc
you might get a duplicate value, but who really cares?
alternately, do this:
<option selected value="INSERT VARIABLE">Select new...</option>
<option>Item 1</option>
<option>Item 2</option>
this way, the user doesn't see the repeated value but if they don't select a
new one they just keep the old one.
