Edit Button not working

We have been using Contribute 3 for quite a while and I've never seen this
issue before, though I found some other references to it in the forums.

We have a standard set of blank pages that we duplicate over and over to
create online courses for our college, so this particular page (The page that
contains the syllabus) has been duplicated and there are now just under 100
copies of it, many of them have been up for a couple of years now, and we have
been using Contribute (since the first version) to allow our instructors to
edit the pages. The edit button has always worked on all of the syllabus pages
up till now. Now, however, a couple of the syllabus pages don't do anything
when the edit button is pushed. It doesn't change to edit mode, it doesn't say
it can't be edited or is being edited by someone else. Not all of the syllabus
pages do this, just a couple of them. I checked the server and the local
machines of .lck files and there weren't any. renamed one of the pages and then
it could be edited, however a blank page saved as syllabus.htm in the same
folder couldn't be edited.

We are able to work around it by renaming the pages but I would rather find an
actual solution to resolve this before it start happening to other pages.

I think i have found the solution to this.

There is a a file called ccSentPublished1.xml that is located in

C:\Documents and Settings\<user name>\Local Settings\Application
Data\Macromedia\Contribute 3\Configuration

Find the line that refers to the file that wont edit and change where it says
"work_in_progress" to "published_WIP"

Start contribute and it should work fine.
