Edit HTML content behind a secure folder
Hi
I have a site that my client needs to edit pages that are stored in a secure
folder. When I try to navigate to these pages in Contribute it says I cannot
edit it. I dont want to change the permissions on the folder as it has to be
secure.
Is their a way round this?
Hope someone can help
Thanks

Re: Edit HTML content behind a secure folder
Have you tried making a Contribute connection directly to the folder, like: http://www.yourdomain.com/secure_folder/

Re: Edit HTML content behind a secure folder
Hi
Contribute does not let me make a connection to
http://www.yourdomain.com/secure_folder/
I enter the info to "What is the web address of your website" it then asks "On
the ftp server, what folder contains your website"
The folder sits in a directory called "public_html/shareholders.... and that
is what I enter on the screen
But it says it cannot create a connection.
If I just put in the url (with no pinting to the secure folder) at the first
screen it does make a connection.
I really hope I can edit what is in the secure folder.
Any ideas?, thanks for your help

RE:Edit HTML content behind a secure folder
I can't get a connection going with Contribute and my webserver.
It's an apache server and I've typed in the correct password.
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance!
