Default Editing a graphic in a pdf document

I am currently using Acrobat 5 and I have created a document, originally in Microsoft Publisher, transferred it into Acrobat and then added some form fields to it. This took a considerable amount of time.

At the top of the document was a graphic with a Logo and our mailing address. Our address recently changed and I want to just change the address on the pdf file. I used the Select Object Tool to select the graphic and opened the graphic in Adobe Photoshop 7.0. If I select the area where the address is and delete it and exit Photoshop the change is reflected in the document, but as soon as I try to add a new address using the vertical type tool it asks me to save the temp file and when I do and exit Photoshop the change is not made in the pdf file.

Is there a way to make the change to the graphic stick? Or am I just doing something that can't be done?

Try changing the original Publisher source and re-creating the PDF.

You can then use "Replace Pages" so avoid having to re-do all your fields.

You can also create the new page from your original as a PDF. Then cut and paste the desired graphic. WT's approach is probably faster.
