Editing a newsletter in PDF
Hello, I am wondering if someone could please guide me in the right direction. Our military family readiness group has just started on a new newsletter to help keep families stay informed on information while their loved ones are on deployment. One lady does the newsletter, and is extremely overwhelmed by her own job and she is the only one that has the access to the newsletter. My question is what kind of program or software would I need to get, not to create a PDF, but to be able to open her already made PDF and help take some of the work load off of her by helping her edit it. She does not have it secured, and I do have permission to change and edit as needed. Any help would be greatful. Thanks. Have a great day!

Re: Editing a newsletter in PDF
Small edits can be made in Acrobat 6 professional, but for more advanced editing you really need the program she originally worked in and to have the original file. If a lot of text is changed the flow of columns can move and that will change the whole newsletter. Can be a little more complicated than you think if you don't understand the program she uses. Illustrator usually opens a PDF but only a single page at a time.

Re: Editing a newsletter in PDF
1. Is it possible to translate the text in the newsletter using acrobat 6 standard?
2. How can I understand with which program did the document created/edited?
3. I can change the text in acrobat when using text editing tool .
4. I can copy some portions of the document especially text parts and paste in the word but loosing the format.
5. But when I try to export to word or rtf all of the page is exported as an image.

Re: Editing a newsletter in PDF
1. Anything is possible, but it won't be easy. Acrobat is not a content creating application. Use Idnesign, with it's layers it's easy to hide and reveal the lnagugae as you require and create different versions of pdf files.
2. Check the properpties (uder the file menu)
3. Is this a question or a statement? Anyway you can Touchup text (think typex)
4. I can make cider from apples, but by doing so I'll lose the skin of the apple and the format it was in. Can't make an omelette without breaking the egg. (etc)
5 dpends if the pdf was already an image then the rtf will be as well. You can always try going to the settings and disable the include image option.
