editing content without messing up the page
hallo, im new here!
im designing a web site with dreamweaver for a family friend, with a pictures
gallery.
he wants to be able to chang the page and to insert new pictures from time to
time.
what do i do regarding the cell size? he doesnt have much experience and if he
will insert a picture in the wrong size he will mess out the whole page.
is there a solution for that in contribute? i understand that i can specify
editable regins, but can i control the size as well?
thanks,
ronchoo

Re: editing content without messing up the page
Hi ronchoo, I don't think you got an easy way out of your problem.
Yes, with DW you can create editable regions. But you cannot set editable
regions in a way that they compress or cut the dimensions of a picture.
Pictures dictate the rules in the Web. They can break every table.
So, I would suggest that you teach your contributor how to both resize and
compress an image with his image editor, in order for him to prepare images
that have his web site's standard dimensions, i.e. X pixels wide and Y pixels
high.
What you can do, both with DW and CT, is to set a maximum limit on the weigth
of each picture. That helps.
