    Justin,
    Thanks. This is a really great example from which I'm borrowing
    liberally.

    So far, I understand most of it, but when I get down to the Sub DataEdit
    and add the line SetEditMode("on") I get a
    "Name 'SetEditMode' is not declared error message". I can see that it
    has something to do with the Sub SetEditMode... but don't know how/what?

    If you know of any examples where I could also pull up an xml blob from
    a db and edit in one big edit box, then save blob back to db, that would
    be great, too.

    Thanks again.

    Kathy

    Duh, definitely been looking at this stuff too long. The reason I got
    the error is because I had not yet entered the sub for mode edit!

    I do have ONE more question, however. In the Function MakeBooksTable, I
    can't see where the actual xml data array is defined. For example, I
    need to create a table using not only elements but attributes...is this
    possible?

    <Station name="Station1">
    <WI name="doc1"/>
    <SN name="12345"/>
    <SN name="12346"/>
    <WI name="doc2"/>
    <SN name="12345"/>
    <SN name="12346"/>
    </Station>

    then Station2, Station3, etc.

    So I need my columns to be:

    Station Name WI Name SN Name
    ------------------------------------
    Station1 doc1 12345
    Station1 doc1 12346
    Station1 doc2 12345
    Station1 doc2 12346

    Any clues on how to do this appreciated...in relation to the example
    code?

    thanks.
    Kathy
