Editing text in saved down files
I am now on Illustrator CS. I've received first draft Illustrator 10 files from 2 sources, made edits and exported back to Illustrator 10.
Neither design agency or print house can edit these saved down files. Both parties report multiple artifacts, but all I did was edit text.

Re: Editing text in saved down files
Roann,
Whenever you click with the Type tool you'll create an artifact even if you don't type a character. Could this possibly be what they are getting. Take one of those files and do a Control A (Select All) and see what you find, especially outside the layout area.
