Editing vector graphics imported into indesign CS
I am a user of Indesign CS on both Mac and PC. Usually everything i do in the PC version of Idesign, i can do in the mac version except this one thing. When using the PC i can copy and paste vector illustrations from Illustrator CS into Indesign CS and still be abble to edit the vector points when it is in Indesign. However this is not possible when importing vector into the Mac version. Is there a way to fix this issue.

Re: Editing vector graphics imported into indesign CS
It's not a Mac issue. It's and Illustrator preference issue.
Change the Illy prefs for clipboard to AICB with preserve paths.

Re: Editing vector graphics imported into indesign CS
Brandon,
The problem is probably in your Illustrator and/or InDesign clipboard preferences.
In Illustrator, be sure to turn off copying PDF to the clipboard, and turn on the copying of AICB (Adobe Illustrator Clip Board) data. Because the AICB format pre-dates transparency, you must choose between preserving paths (and losing any transparency) or having Illustrator essentially flatten any transparency to preserve appearance.
In InDesign's preferences, turn off "Prefer PDF when pasting". Refer to the settings in your Windows versions, and make sure they are set the same on the Mac.

Re: Editing vector graphics imported into indesign CS
I have also found that when I copy paths that are "grouped" in Illustrator they do not paste as paths in InDesign, on either platform, so you could just double check that as well.
