Education District -Thinking of purchasing Contribute,Got Questions

:grin; Hello Contribute users.... sorry to take some of your time, but the
school district I work for is seriously looking a purchasing contribute and
using with some teachers (maybe lots of teachers).

Two big questions.
Do we have to have the server software as well to operate Contribute 3 (I
tried it with one site and it seem to operate fine without the server
software...contribute publishing server)??

Can a person using contribute set up a password, which can be easily changed
by the person using contribute3 on a certain folder on the server....? Am I
clear? A teacher wants to post exams on a page (within a password protected
folder). Then when new exams are posted to that folder she wants to change the
password. Is that possible.

Thanks ever so much. If there is anyone out there using Contribute3 in a
school district/school/teacher set up, I would like to discuss more.

You will only need the CPS when you are working with a large number of users
(50+) wherein each user has different access settings to different websites.

regarding password protecting a folder, no, this is not a feature of
Contribute. What you can do is set roles wherein access is restricted to
certain folders - you may add (Contribute users) to this role.
