    I just installed Photoshop Elements 2 and when I try to open the program, it just closes down on its own

    Try reseting your preferences. This might help.

    For Windows : Immediately after launching Elements, press and hold SHIFT-CONTROL-ALT keys. When you see a dialog box, press on Yes.

    I don't know the key combination for Mac.

    Andres, as Elements is trying to open, is it stopping at any particular spot? For instance, some people will report a problem when Elements gets to "Loading Fonts." If you can identify anything in particular, that would help with troubleshooting. Also include the version of Windows you're using, as well as some general system info like RAM, etc. The more info you give, the easier it is to find somebody who can help. :)
