eliminate white background in photoshop doc
I erased the white background in the photoshop file and placed the pic in the illustrator doc, but the white square background is still there. How do I eliminate this and just have the object in the pic?

Your object should be on a layer in the PSD file with no "Background" layer. When you place a layered PSD into AI the background will be transparent.
