    Default eliminating moire patterns

How can you get rid of moire patterns from photo images in Photoshop Elements? I am running PSE in Windows 98. I am preparing digital photos of a sunset to post on the web. If I reduce the image size, and then "save for the web" the resulting images have marked moire patterns in the (blue) sky. How can I avoid/remove them?

    Default Re: eliminating moire patterns

Gary, Did you see the thread further down the page, "moire pattern removal"? Is your pattern native to the image, or only a result of resizing and saving for the web? If it is just from resizing and saving, I would suggest playing with different settings in the save for web option. The file might not end up as small as it otherwise would, but you may beat the moire.
