Good morning or good evening depending upon your location. I want to ask you the most important question of your life. Your joy or sorrow for all eternity depends upon your answer. The question is: Are you saved? It is not a question of how good you

....or hit the little door icon in the top right corner. (found that one out by
accident)
I wouldn't consider that an embarrassing question, I'm a linux newbie, so a lot
of stuff that should be very simple seems very complicated. For example, I was
looking through the 'long test' procedures for Dapper, and every time they asked
to do something like load the scan program, or use the 'Groupware' program, it
was a hunt to find it. I discovered typing "groupware" in the terminal does
nothing. But, I eventually found it, and I'm glad I did it, or some of that
stuff I wouldn't have even known was there.

Have you considered configuring Ubuntu to restore previous session, like
"hibernation" in WinXP? I find it most convenient to press the on/off
power switch to go off line and turn off the machine. Then, pressing the
same button will boot-up and go on line. It is embarrassingly simple and
most useful as a "no-brainer", esp. on a community machine used by
elderly volunteers and foreign tourists/interstate users.
Cheers
